I’ve recently stumbled upon Responsivator, a nifty tool created by John Polacek that lets you ”view & share how sites look at different screen sizes” through iframes, and I’ve been using it to test my web + interface design projects since.

Basically it saves you the hassle from having to manually check what your responsive site design looks like and how users would interact with your site on multiple common screen resolution and devices (iPhone, iPad, some android phones and tablets and the desktop / laptop). What’s really cool is that you can even hit the customize button to manually input in a screen size in order to test on the odd resolutions (eg. 240x320 HTC Tattoo).

So if you don’t need to test for touch-based functionality, Responsivator will save you a lot of time and money when you’re conducting tests! Alternatively, you could also use the view random button on Responsivator to find inspirations on responsive web design. However, nothing beats actually testing your site on a device.

Note - some viewport meta tags like width=device-width and initial-scale=0.8 are not recognized, so you’ll have to manually check on your target device.

Whenever I pass by our old house and see the floral curtains, now stained and mildewed, flapping softly against the breeze, I am reminded of how young and trusting I was before. Without any further questions, I believed the reason why my cousin and his wife showered together during their weeklong sojourn at our place was because they were such environmentalists; they halved the water usage by taking a single bath instead of two and that they were making odd guttural sounds because they were working hard at cleaning our bathroom at the same time! It was such a simple but brilliant idea to my 10 y/o self that I actually spent the next few days advocating for “shared showers” within the family and started pairing people off to share baths: Mom and dad, then me and my younger sister. I never really understood why my parents laughed it off and told me to keep the idea to myself until well…years later when I was exposed to the idea of sex and finally realized what my cousin and his wife really did inside the bathroom.

My favorite set amongst the packaging design studies I did for Lemon Square’s Power Pops. The brief was to create a fun, young (think teenyboppers) and bright solid-colored packaging designs for Power Pops’ new flavors.

Spamming you with some of our Phantom of the Opera fangirl moments because the performance and the production design was utterly amazing. Goosebumps!

Here we are playing / experimenting with the paper binoculars we purchased because we couldn’t keep our fingers still while waiting for the curtains to rise. It was either that or bother the people seated around us with our own rendition of the musical.

Ready for the second act; silently rehearsing Masquerade inside our heads.

The android app I designed is now available for download! Billy was one of the last projects I worked on as a part of Lowe Philippines and well, a personal favourite.

Billy barks so your phone bills don’t bite. Download Billy for free and start tracking your mobile usage.

Billy uses your phone’s own logs for SMS, talk minutes, and data. It then computes costs according to preset rates, which you can customize. You can also tell Billy when you want to be reminded.

For now, this version of Billy is for prepaid users in the Philippines (Globe, Smart, Sun).
