It’s quite upsetting that modern Filipino artists have to go elsewhere to be celebrated and appreciated. I wish we’d have a better appreciation of the modern artists and designers in the Philippines: so much talent is being wasted and ignored because of the lack of industry standard (and by this I mean the “masa” appeal that the big corporations are adamant of enforcing) and lack of public promotions. Tch.
